SPECIAL OLYMPICS ONTARIO is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with an intellectual disability through sport.
Dignity, acceptance, and a chance to reach ones potential- these are human rights worth promoting for everyone. Since 1968, Special Olympics has been briging one message to the world: people with intellectual disabilities can and will succeed if given the opportunity.
The City of London is proud to host the 2010 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games, July 13th to July 17th. In preparation for this momentous occasion a number of innitiatives will be launched both in support of the Games and in keeping with our legacy plan; building a more inclusive community!
A prime focus for the organizers is to engage children and youth in building awareness and understanding of those with intellectual disabilities. As a parallel strategy, Special Olympics Ontario plans to support the need to get kids active and use the Games as a catalyst to educate, lotivate, and activate.

- Interesting educational quizzes
- Ideas to raise funds for Special Olympics Canada London 2010 Summer Games
Participation PLUS is designed to be a "class" based project, where students can register as a class and their individual contribution and effort goes toward the "classes" success. While a class may choose to register "anytime", the organizers (London) have chosen a cut-off date of May 1st, 2010 to determine the top schools.
